General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) – Privacy Statement
On 25th May 2018, the new General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) come into force in the UK and EU. As a business that requires to hold personal data relating to your company to allow us to communicate with you, we are legally obliged to inform you of what data we hold, for how long and how we use it.
Who We Are
We are BM Electrical Wholesale Limited, Company Registration No. NI047792, an electrical wholesaler supplying you electrical installation equipment. We will be known as the “Data Controller” of the personal data you have provided us with. We use your data to trade with you on a B2B direct basis.
The Data we hold
Included in the personal data we hold on our computer system and on file includes:
- Company name, address and contact details
- Company contacts (Owners/buyers/managers/accounts/ etc.)
- Various telephone numbers supplied by you (Landline/Mobile)
- Various email addresses supplied by you
- VAT number and Company Registration Numbers
- Bank Account details
What do we do with this data
We use this data to carry out our day‐to‐day direct B2B business to facilitate trading with you or your company and for general correspondence with you or your staff. It will NOT be used for any form of marketing and will never be passed on to any third party without your permission.
We will retain personal data supplied by you whilst we are actively trading with you or no more than 6 years after trading ceases unless we are instructed otherwise by you or your employees.To ensure we protect this data, we have installed a new secure server and improved our Firewall and internet security. All data is backed up daily and encrypted for added security.
Your rights
As you are providing us with personal data, you have the right to object to us holding this data or how we use or process it. You should contact us via email to sales@bmelectricalwholesale.co.uk in the first instance.
